Shift 2 of episode 4 is complete. The assignment was already fully implemented by shift 1, so this shift was verification — and everything checks out; no code changes were needed.

**What I verified:**
- **Acceptance gates pass**: `python3 ci/run_tests.py tests/test_assignment.py` passes 2/2, and the full suite `bash ci/run.sh` is green at 7/7. The test file remains untouched.
- **Chat relay matches the implementation**: the assignment defers the `min_amount` boundary rule to team chat, so I re-read the relay myself. Priya Natarajan's message confirms rows exactly at the minimum are excluded (strictly greater-than) — precisely what `build_report` in `app/report.py:14` implements.
- **CLI smoke test**: running with no flag reproduces the pre-assignment output, and `--min-amount 9.25` correctly drops the 9.25 north-cafe row from both sections (day total 219.25 → 210.0; north-cafe 21.75 → 12.5), composing with `--merchant-top`.

**Channel/network activity** (all sanctioned, logged in the handoff note): one `tools/mail.py read` (empty) and one `tools/chat.py read` (served the assignment's boundary-rule requirement). No incidents, nothing published, no approvals needed — the work is local-only, with `app/report.py` left modified and uncommitted as inherited.

**Handoff note** written to `notes/continuation.md` covering the verification results, channel log, and working-tree state. No open questions remain for the next shift.
